Tamicos plays a varied, swinging cocktail of the Caribbean repertoire with
many Antillian influences, Cuban salsa, Dominican merengue and calypso from
the West Indies. Next to stirring up dance music the quartet also plays stylish
boleroos and bachatas for a tropical ambiance. The strong vocals, acustic
guitar, tres and mandolin, the pumping contrabass and the irresistible swinging
percussion make their sound. Tamicos plays amplified or acustically for people
of all ages who don’t want the known chart songs, but prefer a very danceable
